Here's my version of the gold choker that I picked up from a boutique in Richmond, VA. It's not exactly like the ones pictures above, but I feel like it's more wearable, for me at least. I can get away with wearing this one to work.
I just couldnt resist. Rachel Bilson in Roberto Cavalli arriving at Roberto Cavalli's 40th anniversary celebration in Paris. This was back in 2010 but this dress.... I just have an obsession with leopard print that I can't seem to get over.

Now here's a little laid back leopard print dress, because I don't have any fancy parties to go to that would warrant me wearing a Roberto Cavalli gown.
Do you know what I discovered recently? People! on Zara. What an amazing concept that brings together a retail store and style blogs. I feel like more retail stores have been taking this approach, but more so the smaller boutique stores rather than large retailers. People! is a lookbook of sorts, that shows photos of different bloggers that incorporate Zara clothing into their outfits and also provides a link to the blog. It's a great place to look for new style blogs that you may have never run across and also a great place for some style inspiration. I love seeing how people style the same pieces of clothing.
This is so perfect for Zara because their main consumer is a trendy fashionista, those who want on trend, stylish clothing without the enormous designer price tag. I just wish I could fit into their trousers.

She recently attended the Snow White world premier wearing her staple, a Christian Dior couture gown from Spring 2012. I love the sheerness of the dress and that you can slightly see her black hotpants underneath. Her eyes are absolutely stunning and the green earrings provide a nice pop of color. I feel like the green just adds to the mystique and it wouldn't be the same with any other color.
Charlize Theron was recently on the February 2012 cover of W magazine. If these photos don't make you fall in love with her, then I don't know what will. Envious much?

What better way to start off fresh than with white? I love everything that this color represents; fresh, clean, pure, bright. I don't know anything else that would be more fitting for my first official post (the previous one didn't count because that was more of an introduction to the blog). This might be a little all over the place, but I just wanted to show you little snippets of my inspirations. Expect to see a lot more of the things below soon... especially that coconut cake. I need to make that asap.
Simple, because I never created one.
I always ask myself how different my life would have turned out if I went toward my artsy creative tendencies instead of my analytical side. Or even, what if I chose a more creative business career, like something in marketing, instead of the finance/accounting route that I took. Don't get me wrong, I don't regret my past choices that lead me to the career that I'm currently in, but sometimes I just wonder.
That's where the inspiration for my blog came about. I'll finally be able to create my portfolio.
So stay tuned!! I hope you enjoy my portfolio!
